Your website should have a logical design. You homepage is the front page of your website. This is where you need to give a clear idea to a website visitor what you are offering in subsequent web pages. The homepage should have links to the main topics of your website, and these in turn should have further links to the sub topics. Make sure your website has a sitemap will help the search engines crawl it and aid in ranking you.
Ensure you have a tagline on your homepage. This is nothing but a slogan which has your primary keyword insert in it. This should be at the very top of your homepage, under the title of your website.
When writing the content for each web page, make sure you insert the main keywords and/or keyword phrases at the top of the content and the middle.
If you are using images or graphics, make sure you have a caption for each either above the image or below. This will not only help the website visitor but will also help the search engines to index your web page. Try to use the main keyword for that web page in the caption. Do not forget to add alt tag to your graphics. Use keywords and/or keyword phrases in the alt tag.
Having a website full of animation is a good to a certain extent. Too much animation is a distraction and you do not want your website visitor to be distracted. You want them to take an affirmative action by taking up your offer. Therefore, keep animation down to the very minimum.
